Nenana Wellness Coalition

The Nenana Wellness Coalition is an alliance of representatives from various organizations, government agencies, community groups and individuals that meets weekly to discuss, evaluate, coordinate, consolidate, celebrate, masticate and help implement plans for improving the wellness and quality of life in Nenana Alaska.
This week we had Laura Hokenson and her son Max, Michael, Magen Spencer, Rosemary Allen, Bonnie Reed, Derek Ketzler, Mike Anderson and Gayle Ramey stopped by briefly to give a quick update. We enjoyed turkeys wraps, pea salad, cheese with crackers and assorted nuts.

PRESENTATION OF AGENDA AND CALL FOR MODIFICATIONS: Dancing in the Streets was added to the agenda.
MINUTES: The minutes generated last week were posted at the WIN link at www.railbelt.org and submitted electronically to the WIN e-list.

SPEAKERS/TOPICS:
Dancing in the Streets will either by September 14 or September 21. There will probably not be doors prizes for this event due to budget cuts but glow sticks will be provided.

UPDATES/ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Bonnie: Today was the last day for Culture Camp. They are having the potlatch at 4pm for everyone to participate in.
Laura: No Updates
Rosemary: RMHA is in the process of moving offices. They will be located at the Old Crowley building by the river bank.
Magen: No Updates
Mike: Mike talked about different food options he can provide for the Dancing in the Streets event.
Gayle: Nenana Living Center Students will be coming back to the LC between August 19 – August 21. Some students will be coming at the end of July due to soccer practice starting.
