The Nenana Wellness Coalition is an alliance of representatives from various organizations, government agencies, community groups and individuals that meets weekly to discuss, evaluate, coordinate, consolidate, celebrate, masticate and help implement plans for improving the wellness and quality of life in Nenana

Health Fair – The health fair is still looking for volunteers. All volunteers need to sign up at the website at https://alaskahealthfair.org/become-a-volunteer/.
The Emergency magnets came in! These magnets have local and urban phone number in case of emergencies. These magnets will be passed out at the health fair.

UPDATES/ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Derek: Narcan kits are available at the Nenana Fire Department. If anyone would like a free narcan kit to pass to others, have in their home or car you can go to the Nenana Fire Department and you can get one free and it’s confidential. EMT 1 testing is on March 31, 2018, the Nenana Fire Department is looking for volunteers to do their practical’s on.

Bonnie: Tanana Chiefs Bizarre is on March 16, 2018 at the West mark Hotel.
March 16, 2018 Tanana Chiefs and the Nenana Native Council will be closed for Chiefs Day.
March 19, 2018 is the senior board meeting.
March 20, 2018 is the meeting for the Natural Liquid and Community Gas. This meeting will take place at the Nenana Recreational Building Multi-Purpose Room. This meeting starts at 4pm and ends at 8pm.
March 21, 2018 is the Nenana Native Council Meeting. These meeting will now take place at the Nenana Recreational Center Multi-Purpose room.
March 24, 2018 is the Nenana Health Fair starting at 8am for blood draws and 9am for exhibits.
March 26, 2018 is the Choose Respect Community Dinner.
March 30, 2018 is the Senior Center Easter Lunch.
Mike Arena: He will announce the health fair on the radio station.
Virginia: Patiently waiting for both her daughters to give birth to their children in July.
Andrea: MUMPS ARE IN ALASKA! Andrea, the public health nurse, encourages everyone to get a mumps vaccine. She will be at the Nenana Health Fair.
Gateway recovery has opened their doors in Fairbanks for inpatient detox for opioids. They have 6 beds available.
