The Nenana Wellness Coalition is an alliance of representatives from various organizations, government agencies, community groups and individuals that meets weekly to discuss, evaluate, coordinate, consolidate, celebrate, masticate and help implement plans for improving the wellness and quality of life in Nenana Alaska.

INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:
Ron, the new principal of Nenana City Public School
Rosemary Allen, the executive director of Railbelt Mental Health and Addiction (RMHA) presented on the services RMHA offers. She discussed who the employees are and their duties and degrees. There is Laura Hokenson, who is the head financial women as well as fee agent for RMHA clients. Maryellen Robinson, she is the Tobacco Prevention Coordinator in Nenana and Anderson. Nikki Wells, the Tobacco Prevention Coordinator in Healy and Cantwell. Keri Frazier is the mental health clinician and Magen Spencer is the substance use clinician. Rose discussed the unpredictable future RMHA has because of the state funding and what her hopes and dreams are for this agency.

Eric Filaridi tentatively puts on the calendar the Coffee House Performance night as September 23.
The Episcopal Church is preparing for church leaders from around various areas to come to Nenana. Members of the church are making necklaces and traditional food to present to the attendees.

Youth Night every Wednesday night at 6:00pm at her house.
Kids Kraft on September 13 at the Library after school.
Children’s class is every Friday besides the days Kids Kraft is on. Virginia picks up the kids if the parents give permission from school and takes them to Tim’s house.
Book Club is now reading a short novel called A Train now Developing.
October 10 Amie Verhagen will be a follow-up presentation on depression.
Saturday October 14 is the celebration of the founder of Ba’Hai birthday. In celebration they will be premiering the movie about the Founders life. The showing will start at 7pm. Another showing of the movie will be Friday, October 27 at 7pm.

Magen: Schools starts September 25 – September 29 in Bethel.
Will be gone for a training October 9 – October 13 in Anchorage
November 18 – November 30 will be gone for vacation.
December 12 – December 15 will be gone for school.
