The Nenana Wellness Coalition is an alliance of representatives from various organizations, government agencies, community groups and individuals that meets weekly to discuss, evaluate, coordinate, consolidate, celebrate, masticate and help implement plans for improving the wellness and quality of life in Nenana
This week we 4 participants; Bonnie Reed, Tim Horn, Virginia Young and Derek Ketzler. We enjoyed mushroom stuffed ravioli’s and a green salad. Because of the small attendance, we had an informal meeting and went straight to updates.

September 10 the quest cards will be turned off between the times of 3am-7am.
Eric Filaridi tentatively puts on the calendar the Coffee House Performance night as September 23.
The Episcopal Church is preparing for church leaders from around various areas to come to Nenana. Members of the church are making necklaces and traditional food to present to the attendees.
Derek: No Updates
Tim: Youth night every Tuesday night at 6:00pm at her house.
Kids Kraft on September 13 at the Library after school.
Children’s class is every Tuesday besides the days Kids Kraft is on. Virginia picks up the kids if the parents give permission from school and takes them to Tim’s house.
Book Club is now reading a short novel called A Train now Developing.
October 10 Amie Verhagen will be a follow-up presentation on depression.
Rose Allen will be doing a presentation on Railbelt Mental Health and Addictions Tuesday, September 12 at noon for WIN.
Saturday October 14 is the celebration of the founder of Ba’Hai birthday. In celebration they will be premiering the movie about the Founders life. The showing will start at 7pm. Another showing of the movie will be Friday, October 27 at 7pm.
Tim spoke with Jeannie about doing a Free-cycle. Jeannie said she is willing to help with utensils and plates but not between the dates September 29 – October 7. WIN is looking into dates in November. The Free Cycle has been tabled to be on the agenda for next week.
