Project Hope will be presenting June 20, 2017 at WIN. The topic will be about the heroin epidemic in Alaska and what is being done. The members from Project Hope will be presenting and doing a brief training on narcan kits. Narcan is a drug that stops the effects of heroin. Project Hope is wanting to distribute these narcan kits to safe areas around the community for the hopes that is someone is overdosing, they can go someplace safe and be injected with narcan. All members of the community are welcome to participate. Tim volunteered to create flyers, and Magen volunteered to print the flyers and hang them around town.
Tim added Envisioning Wellness to the agenda. In the past, once a month, there was a presentation at WIN about some entity that created wellness in Nenana. The WIN members are wanting to bring the presentation back. Tim asked the Mudge Dou to do a presentation on how music benefits the community.
