The Nenana Wellness Coalition is an alliance of representatives from various organizations, government agencies, community groups and individuals that meets weekly to discuss, evaluate, coordinate, consolidate, celebrate, masticate and help implement plans for improving the wellness and quality of life in Nenana
This week we had 4 participants: Virginia Young, Bonnie Reed, Derek Ketzler, and Magen Spencer. We enjoyed lasagna, salad, crackers with cheese, and assorted nuts.

Graduation Information and Spring Clean-up was added to the agenda
Speakers/Topics
Senior graduation will be in the school gym, Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the afternoon. Kindergarten graduation will also take place in the gym Wednesday, May 23, 2017 at 2pm.
8th Grade graduation will be in the school pit May 18, 2017 starting at 2pm.
The annual spring clean-up will be May 29, 2017. The Sun Fun Run will start at 10am. There will be a 3 miles run and a 1.5 mile walk starting at the school, afterwards, there is the community BBQ in the school lunchroom starting at 11am.

UPDATES/ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Bonnie:
May 17, 2017 the spring concert in the gym, Wednesday evening.
May 20, 2017 is the start of the Saturday Market, will open at 10 and go until 2. This will be an annual event every Saturday. Local merchants will sell their homemade crafts, plants, vegetables, etc, in the Civic Center.
May 24, 2017 is the Nenana Native Council Meeting at 6pm.
May 23, 2017 is the Nenana Ice Classic Annual Meeting in the Civic Center at 6pm. There will be food and drinks provided.
May 24, 2017 is the last day of school.
May 29, 2017 is the memorial day picnic sponsored by the Native Council. Will be held at the cemetery on Toghotthele Hill at 2pm.
May 31, 2017 the Food Bank will drop off food boxes at the Senior Center. Pickup will be 12-1.
Virginia:
May 25, 2017 at the Nenana Native Council, Fish and Game are coming down to talk about the results from the survey they took about substance activities in Nenana, Thursday evening.
May 27, 2017 is the plant sell sponsored by the Soil and Water conservation in Fairbanks at the Tanana Valley Fair Grounds. Start at 11am and ends at 4pm.
There is tomato and pepper plants for sale at the Saturday market.
Derek: May 27, 2017, Toghotthele will have a meeting at the Nenana Native Council in the evening.
