Eclectic Beauty Care was presented by Magen Spencer. She brought in a box full of different sizes, smells and lotions to the WIN meeting to raise awareness about a new small business in Nenana. We all put our names in a hat and drew two winners out that received a free bottle of lotion. Natalie Chong and Virginia Young were the winners.
Recycling at the Nenana Native Council has come to an official end, there is no longer any organization in Nenana that will take recyclables up to Fairbanks. There has been speculation of the places in Fairbanks that will now accept recyclables for more information, visit this website, http://www.iagreenstar.org/new/wp-content/uploads/Fairbanks-Recycling-Guide.pdf. Since many residents would like to see recycling still maintained in Nenana, we have been discussing potential solutions, however, many don’t seem viable. We will continue to discuss the recycling problem at our next Wellness In Nenana meeting next week.
