The Bully Project: Maryellen Robinson gave an update on when the community showing of “Bully” movie will be. She asked for those willing to please bring some finger food to share.
Unfortunately we are not immune to bullying here in our great town of Nenana. In an effort to come together to counteract this unfortunate acts of unkindness we will be having a community showing of the movie “Bully” created by Bully Project. We will have finger foods for all to enjoy and great conversation following the viewing. If you want to check out their web site it is http://www.thebullyproject.com
Where: NCPS Pit
When: January 17 at 7pm
The movie is pg-13, you may want to consider this when bringing young children.
This is being organized by PINK, if you have a desire to help out please contact a PINK member or Maryellen Robinson.
Jessica Durtsche led continued discussion from last week; some of the discussion was that we need to introduce healthy behaviors to see healthy changes in behaviors. In the same respect we need to make sure those who are bullying are not being demonized but are teaching them and showing them new skills.
There will be further discussion to build on this after the viewing of “Bully” on January 17 in the Pit at 7pm.
Blood drive- Tim Horn: the next blood drive was not able to be scheduled on Valentine’s Day as hoped. The next local blood drive will be March 26, at the school. Followed by one on the 25 of June and one October 8.
Health Fair- Jeannie Bennett: the health fair will be March 22 in the Civic Center. The planning meetings will start next week on the 16th of January at 10am, at her place. All who are interested in the planning of the health fair need to contact Jeannie Bennett.
WELLNESS THOUGHT: We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. —Aristotle

He has been featured in CDC commercials throughout the USA. He will be sharing with the youth 4th grade to 12th at the school at 1pm. That evening he will be sharing with the community at the community meeting at the Tribal Hall at 6pm. There will be a dinner along with door prizes at the meeting.
